I am Eugene (Ujean) Kim, a UX and graphic designer studying Fine Arts at Carnegie Mellon University.

My passion for connecting visuals and technology currently drives me in my pursuit of an additional major in Human - Computer Interaction.

Being more well-versed in the fine arts that focus more on aesthetics and concepts, I find the process of designing so much more compelling. I get the best of both worlds; I can utilize my artistic talents and interest in technology to create meaningful and lasting experiences for users.

I always find myself looking for opportunities to foster my passions and am driven by the fast-paced nature of our ever-changing technological world. I revel in progressive, engaging, and purposeful environments that prioritize creative advancement and community collaboration.

My design skills thus far mainly circulate around visual and graphic design, human-centered design processes, and data research and visualization. I also enjoy utilizing my more artistic skills, such as illustration, mixed media, FxF animation, and 3D rendering.

Outside of design, you can find me indulging in a Haruki Murakami novel, sketching new OC’s in Procreate, simulating outfits in my head, and going on neighborhood adventures with my shih-tzu, Koa.
